Parke immediately forced the clinch with Fletcher and eventually pressed him into the cage wall. Soon after, Parke put his opponent on the canvas only to watch him get right back up. Still, Parke kept the pressure on and tripped him to the canvas again. And until the 30 second mark, he managed to improve his position (eventually landing side control), while connecting with solid elbows along the way. Fletcher turned things over on the ground late in the round, but it was too little, too late.
Round one goes to Parke.
The second round was a lot of the same early on. Parke got inside with a body lock and then twisted his adversary to the canvas. He moved from side control to full mount, connecting with ground and pound in spots along the way. However, at around the 2:05 mark, Fletcher was able to escape to his feet. The two then engaged in a solid and pretty even striking battle- Fletcher landing hard kicks, Parke connecting with hard punches. But then at the tail end of the stanza, Parke landed another takedown.
Fletcher needs a stoppage to win.
Round three was a striking war. Both fighters landed big shots all round long. But in the end, that just wasn't enough for Fletcher.
Norman Parke defeats Colin Fletcher by unanimous decision.
