Round one saw a solid stand up battle. Scott actually seemed to connect more and do better for a good portion of the time period. Jabs were landing for the guy. That said, when Whittaker hit home, it was with the harder and more exciting shots. Further, he put his opponent on his back with strikes for a moment.
Scott weathered the storm. But Whittaker took the round.
Early in round two, Whittaker showed his explosiveness in the striking department. The middle went Scott's way, as he took his opponent's back on the canvas. Even after Whittaker got up from the ground fighting, the bottom line was that Scott looked a little better on his feet.
My opinion? This one is all tied going into the final round.
The final round was a very exciting stand up battle. But in the end, Whittaker rallied with some huge flurries. Good for him- he deserves the TUF crown.
Robert Whittaker defeats Bradley Scott by unanimous decision.
