St. Pierre defeats Dan Hardy by unanimous decision: Most expected the champ to stop Hardy. He certainly tried to with multiple valid
armbar attempts. Hardy, though dominated via takedowns and positioning, managed to persevere to the end.
St. Pierre defeats Thiago Alves by unanimous decision: Alves could not stop St. Pierre's takedowns, and that was the story on the fight.
St. Pierre defeats BJ Penn by TKO after round four: Absolute domination. St. Pierre continually took Penn down and pounded on him hard. His opponent, an MMA legend, showed a lot of toughness. But in the end, this was simply a spot for St. Pierre to prove how much he had improved since these two last scrapped.
