Bisping's relative weakness would appear to be his wrestling. He's gotten much better with his takedown defense, etc., but his wrestling is not at the level of his other capabilities
What Yoshihiro Akiyama (13-2) brings to the table: Akiyama is a world class judoka. Along with this, his throwing-style takedowns and takedown defense is excellent. Akiyama also possesses strong submissions, good wrestling, and excellent technical striking. Beyond that, he's a very tough guy that comes to fight in shape.
In the end, like Bisping, Akiyama is simply a well-rounded fighter.
Michael Bisping vs. Yoshihiro Akiyama Prediction: Akiyama may have a little bit more power than Bisping on his feet- it's close. But Bisping is a better technical striker. Though Akiyama has takedowns, etc., he's still going to find it hard to get Bisping to the ground. And even if he does get him there, guess is that his British opponent will be able to eventually get up.
Thus, I believe that this fight will be all about striking. Expect Bisping's technical expertise to shine through.
Michael Bisping defeats Yoshihiro Akiyama by decision.
