If we're being real, there's no argument for anyone else. When Cyborg took on Gina Carano back in August, we were all treated to the biggest female MMA fight in history. In an era where female MMA is still growing and trying to spread its wings, to have a women's bout headline a major card was huge. And Cyborg's raw ferocity in that fight simply overwhelmed Carano.
You've got to wonder just what lies ahead for one of the most aggressive fighters- female or otherwise- most of us have ever seen. But for now, Cris "Cyborg" Santos is the 2009 MMA Female Fighter of the Year.
