Efrain Escudero defeats Phillipe Nover by way of unanimous decision: Escudero proved very capable of slipping under Nover’s aggressive striking attempts to take him down throughout this fight. What’s more, he hurt Nover on the way up from the canvas in the first round with strikes. Though Nover utilized an omoplata attempt to connect with some nice elbows and turn Escudero over in the final stanza, it wasn’t enough.

Ryan Bader defeats Vinicius Magalhaes by way of first round knockout: The simple story on this one was that Magalhaes did not get this fight to the ground. In fact, he seemed willing to stand and trade with Bader, a man that he would’ve had trouble taking to the canvas in the first place. Magalhaes’s strategy didn’t work, as one hard right hand by Bader sent him to the canvas. A couple of strikes later and it was all over.
