Tony JaaGiven Name: Tony Jaa is a man of many names. His birth name was Worawit Yeerum, but he later changed it to Panom Yeerum. His name in films is Tony Jaa, or Jaa Panom. Roots: Tony Jaa was born in the Surin province of Northeastern Thailand on February 5, 1976. He is the third of four children. His parents were rice farmers. His father was also a muay thai fighter in his younger days. Tony Jaa speaks Thai and Khmer, and is working on his English. Martial Arts Background: Tony Jaa has been in love with Muay Thai since early childhood. He has been training in the the martial arts since the age of 10. His Muay Thai coach is Panna Rittikrai. Tony Jaa has also studied the martial arts of Krabi Krabong, Indonesian Pencak Silat, Brazilian Capoeira and Chinese Wushu. Filmography: Tony Jaa is most famous for staring as Ting in Ong Bak. He has also been featured in "The Protector (Tom Yum Goong)", and is currently in the early stages of working in the films "Ong Bak 2", "Sword" and "Hanuman".
