Despite winning, this was a disappointing showing from former champ Andrei Arlovski. He stayed cautious and did just enough to squeeze by with a win over Fabricio Werdum. Werdum was actually the busier of the two fighters, but was unable to produce an effective offense. Arlovski did only as much as he had to, throwing leg kicks, jabs and the occasional power punch to box his way to his second victory in a row without much more than a small cut.
