What to Expect: These schools are the ones that concentrate on one core system and work it to perfection. They usually do alot more work with empty hand and weapons routines, with an emphasis on precision as opposed to the flashiness of the competition school. These schools are also heavy on the old fashioned traditions and discipline. You probably wont have music playing here. These are the schools to go to if you want to study something that still has a strong Asian influence.
Styles You Might See:
  • Shotokan Karate
  • Shaolin Kung Fu
  • Wing Chun Kung Fu
  • Kendo
  • Iado
Things To Remember: If training in a traditional school, it is important to remember to be polite. These schools place high value on respect and decorum.
