A lighthearted hoax on April Fool's Day is fine. In martial arts circles, sometimes writers pen columns indicating that a crazy fight has been signed only to find out that it wasn't... not a terrible joke. But hoaxes regarding death are, well, less funny. And if you're name is Jackie Chan, guess is that you think that two death hoaxes in one year are even less funny.
According to the International Business Times, a Twitter rumor recently spread that martial arts movie actor Jackie Chan had died after falling from a 12-story building during a movie stunt. The following Twitter posting was held accountable:
"Hollywood Breaking News - Jackie Chan died after perfecting a deadly stunt. Jackie Chan falls from a building," user Drheartbeat7 wrote on Monday, linking to a less-than-credible Facebook fan page disguising itself as a celebrity news site.
This one, like another death hoax earlier this year regarding the Hapkido black belt and star is false. Strange things people do in their free time, you know? I mean, who really thinks this kind of thing is worthwhile?
