Let's face it, there are a lot of MMA fighters out there with low testosterone levels low who are taking Testosteron Replacement Therapy (TRT) as a result. Sometimes, these people in some way have used drugs in the past which may have had an impact on their levels. UFC bantamweight contender Ian McCall will tell you that's possibly been the case with him. The difference is, he appears to be struggling with a decision that so many fighters have already made.
"I've been told i have VERY low T levels...... you know, ABUSING the crap out of drugs ALONG time ago (thats no secret).. I said no due to the fans reactions to people on TRT," McCall seemingly wrote on the Underground Forum.
"I've made my career based off fans so is this a smart thing to do?....opinions please!"
In the end, if you want to offer your opinion, feel free to venture on over to the Underground and give it. Regardless, I think it's GREAT that McCall cares enough about fans that he actually wants their opinion and values it. Should he consider what everyone has to say regarding his body and career? Maybe, but most would probably say no. That said, regardless of his final choice, I find it pretty amazing that a fighter cares so much for his fans and fellow fighters that he doesn't want to make a move like that without consulting them. How often do you see that?
