UFC President Dana White has announced that UFC Welterweight Champion Georges St. Pierre has torn his ACL and will be out for 10 months. Instead, former Strikeforce Welterweight Champion Nick Diaz will take on Carlos Condit for the right to call themselves interim champion.
This St. Pierre, Diaz, and Condit merry-go-round has been just crazy. Though I think that the UFC is doing the best they can with this match up, that doesn't mean I'm not disappointed to see that the highly anticipated St. Pierre-Diaz fight won't go down.
Oh well. Here's hoping that the Canadian champion gets healthy soon.
