Mike Spears Challenges Senator David Vitter To MMA Match - No Experience Sighted

Follow me on:

Here's the thing- Independent U.S. Senate candidate Mike Spears sure isn't favored to upend current Louisiana Senator David Vitter on Election Day.  But it appears he thinks he can beat him in another way, and perhaps improve his chances at election through it.  That's right, Spears has challenged Vitter to an MMA match at the upcoming USA-MMAS "Return of the Champions" event at the Cajundome.

"You and other career politicians like yourself, hell-bent on ruining this nation, have blood on your hands," Spears said. "I think it's time you have blood on your face."

Not sure if that's the kind of thing Louisianans (is Louisianans a word?) want to hear, but guess is that Spears thinks so.  Here's something that hardcore MMA fans definitely don't want to hear, however.  Yep, you guessed it- Spears has no MMA experience, even if he plans on starting training this week.

The match is set for October 16.

(1) Mike Spears :

Something MMA fans might like, is the fact that I’ll be training with “Crazy” Tim Credeur (Ultimate Fighter Contestant) for a little over five weeks.

The real story here is the symbolic fight for the American people to take back this nation from corrupt, above the law, career politicians. In the cage, however bloody it might get, there’s rules and respect.

When politicians start following the rules, laws, and respect the people they serve, the American people, only then there will be no need for men like me to run for office, or to get bloodied in the MMA cage.

Good Luck Mr. Spears, in the election and hopefully in the cage. You have my respect, because it’s the absence of good men like you, who take a stand, that the country is in the state it’s in (financially, spiritually and intellectually).

If this was 100-150 years ago these vipers and leaches would be put on trial for treason.
