Tim Kennedy, a former sniper for the Seventh Special Forces, recently accepted a position with the Texas National Guard so he could really begin to focus on his MMA career. Well, in the main event at last night's installment of the Strikeforce Challenger Series, we found out two things. First, he's a much better fighter than Zak Cummings. Second, Cummings is one tough guy.
Kennedy dominated Cummings in the first round by taking him down, continually sustaining a good position, and raining down some scary ground and pound. Somehow Cummings managed to survive the round, but in the second he found himself in hot water once again on the canvas. This time, however, Kennedy was able to sink in the north south choke, forcing a tap.
