Josh Koscheck Makes Short Work of Frank Trigg With TKO

One of the more intriguing match ups coming into UFC 103 was the one between Josh Koscheck and Frank Trigg.  Though Trigg hadn't fought in the UFC in years, he still had an experience edge.  That said, many questioned whether he could handle Koscheck's athleticism, particularly when his usual wrestling advantage might not be there against a guy with a similar background.

Let's put it this way: there was good reason to question.  Along with this, early in the fight Koscheck dropped his adversary with a big right hand and then followed him to the ground with more rights before the referee stepped in.  Trigg looked upset that the fight had been stopped.  Though he was not out cold yet, he had taken several unanswered shots, so it's hard to knock the stoppage much.

Josh Koscheck wins by TKO at 1:25 of round one.  This was one he needed.
