David Henrie and his two siblings are wizards. Well, at least they are on Disney's the Wizards of Waverly Place. But guess what?
David Henrie, the brother of Selena Gomez (the main star of the show), is being tapped for a martial arts movie based on the comic book The Weapon. The story will be about a young martial artist that is pursued by an evil "order" because he knows a magnificent secret. That young martial artist's name will be Tommy Zhou.
The kids are going to just love this one.

I can totally see this, the guy’s ripped to the nines.
I have two kids, so the tv is pretty much always on Family Channel.
Quick thing though, hes actually the older brother on the show.
I was wondering what he did to keep in shape, guess now I know.
I’m not sure about his upcoming movie “The Weapon.” From what I’ve been reading about on the internet, the character he’s playing is asian, specifically of Chinese decent. His grandfather is asian. I think this movie is worse casting than DB movie. At least Goku is an alien. Mr. Henrie’s character is directly born from Chinese parents, and a white actor playing a asian role makes no sense. If Platinum Studios changed the story so that David was adopted to Chinese parents, that would make sense, although that will just change the heart of the story from the comic book series. I don’t have anything against him, I’m sure he can act and stuff, but I just feel Hollywood has become too greedy and they think a white actor will be better marketable than an asian actor. I don’t find this to be true at all. There have been quite a few films that were a huge success here in the states that starred asian actors/actressess, most recently, Slumdog Millionaire which received 8 Oscars. Enter the Dragon is a classic and Bruce Lee really stole the show. Without him, the movie would have been another cheesy B martial arts film. The Last Emperor received Best Picture, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon received an Oscar for Best Cinematography, and Harold and Kumar films are so popular that the sequel doubled it’s profit.
