Carlos Condit Defeats Jake Ellenberger By Split Decision

Former WEC champion Carlos Condit is a very well-rounded and tough guy.  In case you didn't know it coming into UFC Fight Night 19, Jake Ellenberger is too.  Basically, this was another three round war that went like this.

The first round saw Ellenberger put Condit in trouble on multiple occasions with devastating overhand rights.  In fact, it was amazing that Condit even got out of the round alive.  The second round was a close affair that saw Ellenberger spend significant time on top on the ground, even if Condit tended to connect with more strikes when they were there.  In the third round, Condit dominated the fight on the ground, continually putting pressure on his adversary from a position and submission perspective.

Two out of the three judges gave that second round to Condit; therefore, he took home victory by way of split decision.  Wouldn't have wanted to be a judge in this one.
