Got to say that I really have nothing more than a passing interest in these grappling/special rules matches between fighters in different weight classes at MMA events. That said, M-1 Global must believe it's a winner as they plan on pitting Fedor Emelianenko against Gegard Mousasi in a special rules and/or grappling match on August 28 at their Breakthrough event. The match will look similar to the one that went on between Shinya Aoki and Fedor a while back. Beyond that, they've also worked out a match between Mark Kerr and Mo Lawal for the main event. Lawal is a star in the making, whereas Kerr used to be a star but has now lost four in a row all in the first round.
Now Fedor Emelianenko vs. Gegard Mousasi in a real MMA fight would be a little bit more interesting, would it not? Then again, it wouldn't be Fedor vs. Brock Lesnar or Mousasi vs. Lyoto Machida. But I digress.
