If you were thinking Fedor Emelianenko would fight Alistair Overeem for the Strikeforce Heavyweight Championship in his first bout with Scott Coker and the gang, you were wrong. Actually, he will be taking on undefeated Brett Rogers (10-0) in his Strikeforce debut.
Rogers is no cake walk. He's a huge heavyweight with enough TNT in his hands to knock out nine of his 10 professional MMA opponents. What's more, he's coming off of a very impressive 22 second knockout of former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski.
But this is Fedor Emelianenko we're talking about, a man that always has a great game plan and is widely considered to be the best MMA fighter on the planet. Guess is that his plan coming into this fight will have a little something to do with the takedown.
