Legacy Mixed Martial Arts Gym Will Soon Open

Wednesday January 7, 2009
What do world champion Brazilian Jiu Jitsu competitors Alberto Crane and Romulo Barral have in common? Well, it turns out they’re about to open a martial arts school together in Encino, California on January 10. Legacy Mixed Martial Arts Gym will offer classes to prospective students in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai kickboxing, and mixed martial arts.

Barral was voted the #1 Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt in the World in 2007 by Tatame Magazine. His list of grappling world titles is extensive and significant. Crane is also an amazingly strong grappling competitor, having taken home the World Jiu Jitsu Championship himself. On top of that, he holds a professional MMA record of 10-3.

The plan is to work with MMA beginners through advanced practitioners of all ages. On top of it all, Barral and Romulo apparently plan on helping out under-privileged youth in the community with classes as well. The bottom line is that with guys like this heading the place, you’re likely to get top-flight instruction at Legacy Mixed Martial Arts Gym. So if you're looking for a school in the area, check them out.

Address:Legacy Mixed Martial Arts, 17263 Ventura Blvd, Encino, CA 91316
